1970 -- Up to 16 personnel of the Kuwaiti Al-Yarmouk Brigade fall as martyrs while fighting alongside Egyptian forces in the Sinai Canal Battle.

1976 -- Five people have been injured in a bomb blast that has ripped through offices of the daily newspaper the State.

1986 -- Four simultaneous blasts rip through Al-Ahmadi oil zone causing huge fires. A shadowy group named "the Arab rebels" has claimed responsibility for the criminal attack.

1990 -- The renowned poet and writer Ahmad Meshari Al-Adwani passes away at 65 of age. He was the composer of the National Anthem.

2001 -- The American University in Cairo grants an honorary PhD to Dr. Fayza Al-Kharafi, the rector of Kuwait University.

2013 -- The Kuwaiti shooter Abdullah Al-Taraqi Al-Rashidi wins the gold medal in the international shooting tournament held in Cyprus.

2019 -- The woman shooter Iman Al-Shammaa wins the gold medal in the Amir International Shooting Cup Tournament hosted by Italy.

2019 -- Kuwait inaugurates Salwa Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Stem Cells, the first of its kind in the Gulf.

2020 -- The National Assembly agrees to delay due installments for the Defaulters Fund and support families, in the shadow of the coronavirus ramifications.
