Georgia urges Kuwaiti investors to explore business opportunities

KUWAIT: The Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs, Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, highlighted the positive state of Kuwaiti-Georgian relations during his participation in a ceremony organized by the Georgian Embassy in Kuwait, celebrating Georgia’s Independence Day, which took place on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

During the ceremony, the Georgian Embassy emphasized their commitment to elevating this partnership to a new qualitative level. They highlighted the increasing closeness and multi-dimensional nature of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, and special thanks were extended to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his leadership, which has transformed Kuwait into a beacon of stability amidst regional unrest.

The embassy also highlighted that the Georgian government places high importance on deepening political and economic cooperation with Kuwait. Efforts are ongoing to enhance relations in tourism, culture, and education as well as facilitating increased investment and trade partnerships with Kuwait.

Georgia’s inclusion among the top ten countries globally for “ease of doing business,” as ranked by the World Bank, underscores its favorable business environment, comparable to the United States and the United Kingdom in terms of investor convenience. Kuwaiti businesspeople and the general public were invited to visit Georgia and explore the various business opportunities it offers.
