KUWAIT: Volvo Cars Kuwait has officially launched the new, fully electric Volvo EX30 at a press event held at Volvo Studio on Tuesday. The EX30 is now available for sale, booking and test drives at the Volvo Showroom and Volvo Studio retail spaces. The EX30 has already garnered significant recognition, including the prestigious 2024 World Urban Car title at the New York International Auto Show.

It was also ranked among the top three cars globally from a pool of 38 nominees. Since its launch last summer, the EX30 has won several major awards, such as "The Sun Car of the Year” and "Small SUV/Crossover of the Year” from the Sunday Times, and "Eco Warrior of the Year” from Top Gear magazine.

Sustainability and performance

The EX30 is Volvo’s smallest and most environmentally conscious SUV to date. It boasts a total carbon footprint of just 23 tons per 200,000 km, which is approximately 60 percent less than the petrol-powered XC40 ICE. Built on a purpose-designed electric car platform, the EX30 not only produces zero tailpipe emissions but also minimizes its carbon footprint throughout its lifecycle.

Mishal Al-Safran, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Volvo, expressed pride to Kuwait Times in the EX30, highlighting its environmental friendliness, powerful performance, and use of 30 percent recycled materials. The EX30 is available for test drives at the Volvo showroom in Rai and the Volvo Studio in AlKhaleejia Tower.

To enhance the customer experience, Volvo Cars offers a complimentary car charger installation at the customer’s preferred location, be it home, office or chalet. Prospective buyers are encouraged to visit Volvo retail spaces for an unforgettable EX30 test drive experience.
