KUWAIT: Fahaheel Club Table Tennis Team won the general excellence up by collecting 27 points in first place, Kuwait was second with 23 points while Al-Sahel was third, while Salwa Club was in first place for the women category, at the end of the 2023-2024 table tennis season.

The closing celebration was held at Kuwait Table Tennis Federation premises in Ardhiya in the presence of Chairwoman of Salwa Club Sheikha Naeema, Chairman of TTF Eng Falhan Al-Otaibi, Deputy Chairman Dr Saud Al-Sarbal, Treasurer Anwar Al-Kandary, board members Jawad Al-Ghareeb and Eid Al-Owaihan.

The closing ceremony included the final singles match for men as Mohammad Hamiya defeated Salem Al-Hassan 3-1, while third place went to Abdullah Al-Bahrani who defeated Jaber Al-Balhan 3-0.

Sheikha Naeema Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah lauded the effort of KTTF adding "we were pleased with the advanced levels seen in table tennis and we are proud of the outstanding efforts of KTTF board and hope it continues in the future”.

Falhan Al-Otaibi said the completed season was the most successful in the past 15 years adding "we now have our own hall with international standards, and an integrated plan is prepared for all local and foreign tournaments”.

He said the season was of first and second leagues, and 16 teams were divided into two levels and competitions were great in most matches.
