KUWAIT: Kuwait Gymnastics Federation commended the latest achievement and outstanding performance of gymnast Nour Al-Ruzaihan during the 20th Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship that concluded Monday in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The federation said the young gymnast ended in 8th place in the hoop event in which gymnasts from well established countries in the game including Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China and Singapore.
It said Al-Ruzaihan proved herself among the strongest gymnasts in the continent as she reached the finals, and considered the participation a success.
The 8th place finish by Al-Ruzaihan in an official Asian Championship marks the best result by Kuwait gymnastics participation in the history of its continental participations for both girls or boys. The federation added that Nour is a promising champion and deserves all attention and support, and lauded the role of the Public Authority for Sport, as well as the Kuwait Olympic Committee in backing the game.
