Zain continues unwavering support to local showjumping athletes

After a thrilling season, Zain has awarded the champions of the KuwaitEquestrian Federation’s (KEF) Third Showjumping Tour (2023-2024 season). The champions were recognized during the final tour andawarding ceremony held at the Kuwait Riding Center in Sabhan, joined by crowdsof equestrian fans and top executives from the private and public sectors.

The event was joined by H.E. Minister of State for National AssemblyAffairs, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and Minister of State forCommunications Dawood Marafi, Zain Kuwait CEO Nawaf Algharabally, KuwaitEquestrian Federation Chairman Masoud Johar Hayat, Zain Kuwait Chief CorporateAffairs and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti, Deputy Director of theCompetitive Sports Sector at the Public Authority for Sports Bashar Abdullah AlSalem, Zain Kuwait Corporate Relations Department Manager Hamad Al Musaibeeh,along with KEF board members and local executives.

The top 10 champions of the Zain Grand Prix Ranking were awarded duringthe ceremony: 1st place winner Ali Al Kharafi, 2nd placewinner Fawaz Al Subaie, 3rd place winner Ghazi Al Jerawi, 4thplace winner Yara Al Hunaidi, 5th place winner Abdullah Al Awadhi, 6thplace winner Madhi Al Khamees, 7th place winner Abrar Al Musallam, 8thplace winner Abdulrahman Al Fuzae, 9th place winner Hamad Al Hajri,and 10th place winners Annaz Alannaz & Abdullah Al Roudhan.

Zain’s participation came as part of its ongoing support to the KEFShowjumping Tour, which the company has sponsored for the third year running.Zain strives to support local showjumping athletes and remains a key supporterof this exciting competition to reflect its commitment to supporting equestriansports and encouraging local athletes to pursue excellence.

The company is proud to continue supporting this exciting local sportevent since its inception. The competition was organized by the KuwaitEquestrian Federation (KEF) in collaboration with the Kuwait Olympic Committeeand Public Authority for Sports. Every year, it is joined by tens ofshowjumping athletes representing local clubs, along with crowds of equestrianenthusiasts.

 

Zain’s presence in this event also stems from its strategic goals tosupport, grow, and develop the local sports and youth sectors. The company is afervent believer in the exceptional talents of Kuwait’s young athletes, many ofwhom are passionate about equestrian sports that are deep rooted in theKuwaiti, Arab, and Islamic identities.

The KEF Third Showjumping Tour, which kicked-off late last year, featuredeight rounds, with each round’s activities being held over a period of twodays. The tour also featured several 2-star and 3-star internationalcompetitions. Hundreds of showjumpers from Kuwait’s public and privateequestrian clubs competed in the thrilling competitions.
