KUWAIT: President of Kuwait Triathlon Club and Federation Rashed Al-Kandary was elected member of the Arab Triathlon Federation (ATF) during the federation’s general assembly that was held in Hurghada, Egypt Saturday. He also became member of the executive committee of ATF.
Al-Kandary dedicated this achievement to HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the top supporter of Kuwait sport.
He also thanked all those who contributed to Kuwait having a seat at ATF including its president Maj. General Ahmad Nasser and board members as well as Kuwait Olympic Committee members for their continued support.
Egypt’s Ahmad Nasser won the ATF presidency, Jordan’s Tareq Al-Khayyat vice president, UAE’s Abdelmalek Jani second vice president, Bakhtiyar Rasoul from Iraq third VP and Yasser Othman from Sudan fourth VP. Meanwhile the members are Rashed Al-Kandary from Kuwait, Ali Moqbel from Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Abu Tair from Palestine, Ali Mabrouk from Libya, Dana Shubat from Syria and Firyal Shuwaiter from Algeria.
