Coast Guard foils attempt to smuggle narcotics and drugs

KUWAIT: As a part of their efforts to combat drug dealers and smugglers, security officials from the General Department of the Coast Guard were able to thwart attempts to smuggle illicit drugs into the country through the sea.

Six suspects were arrested. While the Coast Guard personnel were monitoring the sea borders, they spotted two boats entering Kuwaiti regional waters. The officials stopped them and found about 26,000 pills of psychotropic substances, 20 kg of meth, and 158 kg of weed in their possession. — KUNA
