KUWAIT: The Ice Hockey World Championship Kuwait, Division IV will start Tuesday with the participation of Mongolia, Indonesia, Malaysia and host country Kuwait, as matches will be held at the Winter Sports Club Hall in Bayan area.
Chairman of the organizing committee, Club Chairman Fuhaid Al-Ajmi said the Championship enjoys total supervision by International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) technically, officially and organizationally as it has a significant importance because it promotes the winner to level III of this international championship. Al-Ajmi said IIHF officials, referees and participating teams will start arriving Sunday (today) and Monday, as matches will start Tuesday with a match between Mongolia and Indonesia followed by a match between the Blues of Kuwait and Malaysia.
Al-Ajmi said Kuwait’s team is ready and well prepared for the championship following intense training and a camp in Dubai, UAE during which there were several friendly matches. He urged fans to support Kuwait national team, as he appreciated the support of the Public Authority for Sport.
