South Korean Embassy hosts media personnel

KUWAIT: The South Korean Embassy hosted on Tuesday an iftar gathering for local media professionals at the embassy. South Korean Ambassador Chung Byung-ha praised the Kuwaiti media for their diligence in accurately portraying Korea through their reporting, expressing his interest in exploring the traditions of Ramadan and the cultural practices of Kuwait to deepen his understanding of its people.

He praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing his country’s aspiration to develop and strengthen various aspects of cooperation with Kuwait.

The ambassador stressed the depth, strength and durability of Korean-Kuwaiti relations, which he described as historic and advanced at all levels and various areas of cooperation, pointing to the expansion of areas of bilateral cooperation to include new sectors such as airport management, smart farms, smart cities, health, medicine and renewable energy.

From a cultural perspective, Chung acknowledged the significant impact of Korean entertainment on Kuwaiti society, showcasing the universal appeal of Korean dramas and the role they play in connecting people.
