Burgan Bank sponsors ‘The Workout’ fitness experience during Ramadan

Part of Burgan Bank’s comprehensive social responsibility program

KUWAIT: Burgan Bank announced that it will be sponsoring ‘The Workout’ fitness experience, powered by Fohgah App and coach Salah Al-Shatti, as a strategic partner. The fitness event is scheduled to take place on three consecutive Fridays during the holy month of Ramadan at Al-Assima Mall’s rooftop and track area, with weekly prizes for competition winners.

This sponsorship is part of Burgan Bank’s efforts to promote a sports culture in Kuwait and comes under the umbrella of the Bank’s comprehensive social responsibility program, which aims to encourage community members to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. “The overall health of our community remains one of our top priorities, which continues to drive plenty of our social responsibility efforts,” said Talal Hamed Al-Ayar, Senior Officer – Corporate and CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, commenting on the Bank’s latest collaboration with Fohgah App.

“With the abrupt change to our eating habits in Ramadan, it’s not uncommon that even the most committed athletes may struggle to keep up with their usual workout routine. That’s why we are honored to be sponsoring the latest fitness event The Workout, by Fohgah App and the renowned fitness coach Salah Al-Shatti. The event is designed to encourage participants of all fitness levels to engage in a fun competition every Friday with a chance to win a weekly prize and enjoy a night of athletic fun with their favorite team partner.”

“We are truly delighted to be collaborating with Burgan Bank once more, following last month’s successful FERYA food event that garnered a lot of interest from visitors and participants alike,” said Mohammad Al Mashan, Co-Founder of Fohgah. “We look forward to achieving more success under the umbrella of our strategic collaboration with the Bank.” The Workout is open to males and females above the age of 16, with a maximum capacity of 20 participants per event. During each event, 10 teams of two will compete for the highest score, with a winning team announced every week.

In line with its comprehensive social responsibility strategy, Burgan Bank previously sponsored numerous sporting events, including the eighth edition of Flare Festival and the Kuwait Crown Prince Cup 2022/2023 final. It also continues to sponsor several prominent Kuwaiti champions, such as Tareq Al-Qallaf, the wheelchair-fencing Paralympic world champion, and Olympians Yaqoub Al-Youha, Mudhawi Al-Shammari, Ebrahim Al-Dhafeeri, Amal Al-Roumi, Abdulmohsen Al-Ali, and Jude Tawfeeq.
