KUWAIT: Alexander Qabazard won first place in the Qatar Superstock Championship on Saturday, a thrilling support race accompanying the MotoGP season opener. Competing against 21 international riders hailing from diverse corners of the globe, Qabazard’s victory showcased his prowess on the track. Sponsored by Bader Nasser Al-Kharafi, whose support propelled Qabazard to victory in the Kuwait Superbike Championship in 2023, he continues to race under the banner of BNK Motion as an endorsed Aprilia rider.
Speaking to Kuwait Times, he said: “I want to thank BNK from the bottom of my heart for believing in me as an upcoming Kuwaiti racer.” Reflecting on his journey, Qabazard expressed profound gratitude towards his mentor and coach, Khaled Al-Mudhaf, whose unwavering support propelled him to his current standing as a racer. Despite encountering limited support from government entities and racing clubs, he found solace in the steadfast encouragement of Mudhaf.
The pivotal moment came when resources seemed scarce, yet the belief and investment from BNK Motion proved transformative. With a bike provided by BNK and the collaborative efforts of his team, including Humoud Al-Sabah, Manal and coach Mudhaf, Qabazard clinched victory in the Kuwait Superbike Championship, etching his name in the record books with the fastest lap at Kuwait Motor Town.
With his triumph on the international stage in Qatar, Qabazard humbly dedicated his victory to BNK Motion and all those who unwaveringly supported him. Proudly representing Kuwait amidst a global field, he recognized BNK Motion as a beacon of support for emerging talents. Embracing his role as an ambassador for BNK, Qabazard expressed his aspirations to continue elevating his performance on a global scale. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as BNK Motion’s ambassador rider for the second year running and many more to come,” he said.
