KUWAIT: Coinciding with the celebrations of Kuwait’s national days, the Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) organized a campaign to clean Anjafa beach. The event was held in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, and the Ministry of Education, represented by the technical guidance of the scout girls at the Hawally Educational Area and Al-Salam Primary School for Girls.
A group of volunteer workers from the company and the Community Development Center in Bayan participated in cleaning the beach with a number of students and supervisors, with the aim of encouraging students to take care of the environment and enhance their sense of responsibility towards their country. "They are the future of this country, and it is important to instill these values in them from a young age, and to encourage entrepreneurship and volunteer work, as well as to protect the environment and public facilities, so that our country appears in the best way,” they added.
The company also sponsored another National Day celebration held at the Community Development Center hall in Zahra. During the ceremony, the Petrochemical Industries Company was honored and noted for its efforts in the field of social responsibility, as well as its keenness to support such events, and to adopt initiatives aimed at spreading awareness and adopting best practices and customs to protect the environment.
