stc sparks innovation, creativity at its Winter Wonderland Kuwait booth

KUWAIT: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, concluded several entertaining educational activities at its booth in Winter Wonderland Kuwait (WWL). Following its strategic partnership with Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC), stc organized the activities alongside strategic partners, demonstrating the Company’s commitment to its extensive Corporate Social Responsibility Program (CSR). These initiatives, aimed at creating a positive social impact, highlighting stc’s dedication to fostering community engagement through strategic collaborations.

Innovation, education & digital transformation

In one of the activities, stc’s booth became a hub of innovation and learning. In collaboration with Dawrat.com and DJI Kuwait, stc hosted a comprehensive photography course. Under the guidance of Abdullah Al-Mashouh, a renowned trainer and content creator, participants explored the intricacies of drone photography and reel production. The course culminated with the distribution of gifts from stc and a high-end drone provided by DJI Kuwait for the competition winner. Each participant left the workshop enriched with knowledge and a certificate of participation.

Gaming & entertainment

Adding to the excitement, stc hosted a PlayStation 5 FC 24 tournament, a football game highly popular amongst the youth in Kuwait and around the world. This special tournament welcomed professional gamers, witnessing the participation of 64 youthful competitors, supported by an enthusiastic crowd of over 200 fans. The event served as a unique platform for emerging gamers to showcase their skills while fostering a sense of community and sportsmanship among participants. In the grand finale, the top three champions were honored with valuable gifts from stc, celebrating their exceptional performance. The tournament’s success sheds a positive light on the local gaming community, reinforcing stc’s role in promoting digital sports and youth engagement in the region.

Sustainability and environment amongst youth

Furthering its commitment to nurturing the younger generation, stc, in collaboration with Aspire Club, conducted a unique workshop for children. This workshop focused on sustainable gardening practices using biodegradable newspaper sheets rather than plastic. The objective through the workshop was to educate children on the importance of environmental stewardship and practicing eco-friendly activities. The event, attended by 50 children aged 4 to 13 years, also included a creative writing workshop titled “My Story from My Creativity,” aimed at enhancing their intellectual and writing skills. Guided by professional instructors, the students practiced their creative writing skills by writing a story from the location based on their various senses and experiences.

The activities organized at stc’s booth in Winter Wonderland Kuwait in collaboration with its partners showcases the Company’s dedication to empowering the community with knowledge, skills, and entertainment. By engaging with various segments of the community, stc aims to create a sustainable and positive impact on the community. The programs emphasized the importance of education, environmental sustainability, and the promotion of technology and innovation as key pillars. Through these efforts, stc aspires to contribute to the economic and social development of Kuwait, aligning with the country’s vision for a prosperous future.
