PM visits troops north of Kuwait, Abdali port

Prime Minister conveys Amir’s greetings to all security personnel

KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Prime Minister HH Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah paid an inspection visit to the Kuwaiti army in the north of the country on Saturday. His Highness was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousuf Al-Saud Al-Sabah. His Highness was briefed on the duties of the Mubarak Duty Force, which is based on the northern borders of the country, the various tasks assigned to it, and the mechanisms used in protecting and controlling the country’s borders.

In his speech during the visit, HH the Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to all army personnel. His Highness Sheikh Dr Mohammad urged the personnel to keep defending their dear homeland as their ancestors did, stressing the government’s readiness to provide the army with resources needed to achieve its duties in a perfect manner.

In another development, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah also visited the Abdali port and was briefed about the monitoring and surveillance systems. His Highness conveyed greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to all police personnel. He stressed the key role of the Ministry of Interior’s personnel and their efforts to maintain the country’s security, affirming the government’s readiness to enhance the ministry’s capabilities to help its personnel achieve their duty in a perfect manner. — KUNA
