KUWAIT: The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (and its subsidiaries) and Kuwait University held their first coordination meeting to implement and develop the roadmap for the joint cooperation agreement. The meeting was organized by the Health, Safety, and Environment Group of Kuwait Oil Tankers Company (KOTC) at their headquarters. Kuwait University’s Acting Dean of the College of Life Sciences, Dr. Nawaf Al-Hajri, as well as other authorities in the university attended.

The meeting discussed how to develop a mechanism to measure the maturity level of the current comprehensive risk management programs of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, compare them with those of counterpart companies in the region or globally, and work on developing the program to comply with the latest international standards.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and Kuwait University held their first coordination meeting to implement and develop the roadmap for the joint cooperation agreement.

They also discussed the mechanism for receiving Kuwait University students in field training programs for the next four years in various companies affiliated with the KPC. KOTC was assigned to supervise this agreement and commit to holding monthly coordination meetings to follow up on the implementation of its provisions.

The agreement came to activate the principle of joint cooperation between state institutions and was in line with the policy of exchanging experiences in the scientific, academic, consultative, technical, and training fields in the field of comprehensive risk management.
