KUWAIT: After a thrilling two-day race at OCEAN Padel Academy in Salmiya, Zain successfully concluded its fourth padel tournament for staff. The yearly competition enhanced the spirit of teamwork and out-of-office bonding between members of the Zain family and witnessed the participation of the executive management team.
The tournament was joined by Zain Vice Chairman and Group CEO Bader Nasser Al-Kharafi. Among the spectators were Zain Kuwait Acting CEO Nawaf Algharabally, OCEAN Padel Academy Co-founder & Manager Abdullatif Al Asfour, along with Zain executives and employees who eagerly followed the exciting matches and cheered their colleagues on.
Zain organizes many sports competitions for its employees under the umbrella of its internal strategy communications that closely focuses on promoting health and sports programs. The company remains committed to the wellbeing of its staff by organizing similar programs throughout the year to promote an active and healthy lifestyle, while also enhancing the teamwork spirit and out of office bonding between members of the Zain family.
The fourth season of the competition witnessed great reception from Zain employees. The matches continued for two consecutive days at OCEAN Padel Academy’s courts in Salmiya, where 18 two-player teams competed for the title. Returning champions ‘team ZAIN’ won the title, while team Heavyweights came in second place and team KOBE came in third place.
Last year, Zain partnered with OCEAN PADEL Academy, a local sports club with world-class facilities, to support the academy’s various programs and services offered to padel enthusiasts in Kuwait, including fully equipped courts and facilities, kids camps, seasonal championships, and special tournaments for employees.
The Academy covers over 3,000 square meters and overlooks the Arabian Gulf Street. It boasts several indoor and outdoor courts, the Zain Center Court with seats for 120+ spectators, state-of-the-art health and sports facilities, international trainers and more.
