KUWAIT: The Public Authority for Manpower stated that it is making persistent and continuous efforts to develop the process of bringing skilled workers to the country in a way that serves the development and economic interests of Kuwait and at the same time benefits the workers and the countries that export them.
Acting Director General of the Authority, Marzouq Al-Otaibi, said in a press statement on Thursday as he received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the country, Major General M D Ashiq Al-Zaman, and his accompanying delegation, that the labor market in Kuwait attracts workers with the specializations it needs that serve this market and meet its needs.
Al-Otaibi stressed the primary role of the Authority in providing legal protection and ensuring the existence of an appropriate work environment that guarantees the rights of all workers, including Bangladeshi workers, in various sectors.
He also stressed the keenness of both parties to joint cooperation with regard to Bangladeshi workers. He praised the strong and distinguished historical relations between the two friendly countries at the highest levels, pointing out the keenness to always maintain this good relationship.
Ambassador Ashiq Al-Zaman expressed his gratitude and thanks to the State of Kuwait in general and to the Public Authority for Manpower in particular for the efforts it provides regarding the issues of Bangladeshi workers in Kuwait.
Al-Zaman stressed his country’s constant endeavor to develop relations between the two countries in a way that serves the interests of all parties. It is noteworthy that during the meeting, cooperation mechanisms were discussed between the two sides in the field of recruiting and employing Bangladeshi workers in Kuwait. Some issues related to Bangladeshi workers were also discussed and efforts were made to solve the problems they face. — KUNA
