KUWAIT: HisHighness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at BayanPalace yesterday His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-JaberAl-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem and His Highness thePrime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. He also hostedPresident of the Supreme Judicial Council, Chief Judge of the Court ofCassation and the Constitutional Court Yousef Jassem Al-Mutawaa.
Earlier, HisHighness the Amir received Minister of Finance, acting minister of oil, waterand electricity, Nayef Al-Hajraf, along with the visiting Bahraini Minister ofFinance and Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa. Separately, HisHighness hosted Hajraf, accompanied by oil and energy ministers of memberstates of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC),participating in OAPEC's 10th meeting, hosted by Kuwait. He also received theacting Audit Bureau chairman, Adel Abdulaziz Al-Saraawi, accompanied by Chiefof the Turkish Court of Accounts Seyit Ahmet Bas. Minister of the Amiri DiwanAffairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah attended the meetings.
Separately, HisHighness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received atBayan Palace Ghanem, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, Deputy Premier andForeign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy PrimeMinister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. His Highnessalso received Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs AnasAl-Saleh.
In other news,His Highness the Amir on Saturday sent a cable to Saudi King Salman binAbdulaziz Al-Saud to extend condolences over the death of Prince Talal binAbdulaziz Al-Saud. In his cable, His Highness the Amir prayed to God Almightyto bestow his mercy on the late prince and bring solace to his brother KingSalman and all the Saudi royal family. His Highness the Crown Prince and HisHighness the Prime Minister sent similar condolence cables to Saudi King Salmanbin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
Meanwhile, FirstDeputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-AhmadAl-Sabah sent yesterday a cable to Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Ministerand Minister of Defense Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud offering sincerecondolences over demise of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. - KUNA
