KUWAIT: Secretary General of Arab and Kuwait Shooting Federations Obaid Al-Osaimi, the ISSF pistol/ rifle judges (B) course was opened, as international lecturer, president of African and Egypt Shooting Federations Hazem Hosny, was opened with more than 20 participants including two from Oman in attendance.

Al-Osaimi welcomed those present, and thanked Hazem Hosny for coming to Kuwait to lecture. He said Kuwait Shooting Sport Club is keen on the development of the technical dept including officials, and we are also keen on increasing the number of licensed judges.

Al-Osaimi hoped those in attendance be able to officiate future tournaments as they pass this course and gain experience.

On his part, Lecturer Hazem Hosni, thanked the President of Arab an Kuwait Shooting Federations and Obaid Al-Osaimi for their support and major role the Kuwait Federation is playing at the Arab and Asian levels to serve the sport of shooting.

He said these courses polish referees experiences and qualify them to officiate major tournaments, adding that he is happy to be in Kuwait.

Meanwhile, in Rabat, Morocco's shooting Grand Prix competitions began in Rabat on Friday featuring 220 shooters from 23 countries, including Kuwait. The week-long championship will see male and female shooters competing in trap and skeet competitions, Abduladheem Al-Hafi, head of the royal Moroccan shooting federation and vice-president of the Arab Shooting Federation, told KUNA following the opening ceremony . He said Kuwait team would boost level of competition because it consists of elite international shooters. Adnan Al-Ibrahim, head of Kuwait team, said participation was out of keenness to improve efficiency and experience. Kuwait will be represented by Khaled Al-Mudhaf, Abdulrahman Al-Faihan, Nasser AlMeqled, Sarah Al-Hwal, Shahad Al-Hwal, Abdullah Al-Terqi, Saud Al-Habib, Mansour AlTerqi, Eman Al-Shamma and Fatma Al-Zaabi.
