KUWAIT: 1963 -- Kuwait Artists Association has been proclaimed, aiming to promote the sector, safeguard artists’ rights and supervise concerts.

2003 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issued an Amiri Decree forming Kuwait’s 21st cabinet, chaired by Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

2008 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah decreed appointment of retired Lieutenant General Ali Al-Moumen as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Iraq as the first Kuwait envoy to be named for the task after the 1990 blatant Iraqi invasion of the State of Kuwait.

2008 -- The Kuwaiti karateka Hamad Al-Nuwaiem won the gold medal in the open weight competition of the 8th Arab karate tournament held in Cairo.

2009 -- The Municipal Council named member Zaid Al-Azmi as chairperson and his peer Shahye’ Al-Shaye’ as his deputy during the board 10th session.

2013 -- Kuwait won membership in the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law for a six-year mandate after serving as an observer.

2014 -- Kuwait donated USD ten million for the Palestinians in aftermath of an Israeli aggression on Gaza.

2021 -- Kuwait held a military funeral parading ten martyrs who have sacrificed their souls during the flagrant Iraqi aggression. Kuwait has received their remains from the Iraqi authorities and has identified them with DNA tests.

2021 -- Kuwait Oil Company signed three agreements with contracting companies to treat soil polluted by to the Iraqi invasion as part of the national Kuwait Environmental Remediation Program (KERP), the largest of its kind in the world on record. — KUNA
