KUWAIT: Education Minister Hamid Al-Azmi said 6,479 Kuwaiti employees resigned from the education ministry during the past three years, adding that the rare specialty allowance given to Kuwaitis and Gulf nationals of both genders reached nearly KD 2.23 million. Azmi said in an answer to MP Khalil Al-Saleh that employees who resigned between 2016 and 2018 reached 6,479 (1,780 in 2016, 2,489 in 2017 and 2,210 in 2018). He said the numbers include those who were to be referred for retirement but resigned instead. - Al-Rai
