KUWAIT: Ministry of education's assistant undersecretary for scholarships and cultural relations Fatima Al-Sannan announced referring 50 law degrees issued to Kuwaitis by an Arab state to the public prosecution over suspicions of being fake.
Total debts
Health Minister Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah announced that the ministry's total debts to companies supplying the ministry with medicine and medical equipment during the fiscal years 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 is KD 100 million. He noted that hospitals and medical centers treating citizens abroad also have variable claims according to the number of patients and the cost of treatment per patient, adding that such costs are usually paid by the concerned health office or the embassy in countries where Kuwait has no overseas health office. Meanwhile, well-informed health sources said that the ministry plans to build a new pediatric hospital by 2023, noting that the new hospital will include 792 beds, a large modern lab, a number of pharmacies, outpatient departments and surgery rooms.
Automated handling
The customs department's general manager Jamal Al-Jalawi issued a decision reducing the fees collected for automated handling and custom inspection from KD 15 to KD 7 per loaded vehicle.
