17 Rohingya drown fleeing Myanmar

HARBIN: The Kuwaiti Embassy in China affirmed on Monday that it will devote all its efforts to the Kuwaiti teams participating in the 9th Asian Winter Games (Harbin) 2025. This came in a statement made by the Embassy’s counselor Faisal Al-Mawed on behalf of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Jassem Al-Najem to the Kuwaiti media delegation accompanying the Kuwaiti mission on the sidelines of attending the Kuwaiti ice hockey team’s competitions in the tournament.

Al-Mawed expressed his hope for a distinguished participation by the Kuwaiti mission in the tournament that befits the reputation of Kuwaiti winter sports and raises the name of the State of Kuwait high.

He stressed that the presence of Kuwaiti players among the elite champions of the continent in the game “is in itself an achievement we are proud of,” noting that they represent Kuwaiti sports through their athletic performance, high morals and sportsmanship to be an honorable model that reflects the values of our dear homeland.

He praised the distinguished work carried out by the director of the Kuwaiti mission participating in the tournament, Fahid Al-Ajmi, in following up on the players and preparing all conditions for them to provide their best performance, while praising China’s organization of the tournament. — KUNA
