KUWAIT: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced on Wednesday the distribution of 33,000 fasting iftar meals to needy families during the holy month of Ramadan. The secretary general of the association, Maha Al-Barjas, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this contribution comes from the association’s role in meeting the needs of needy families and alleviating their suffering in this holy month. She stressed that this initiative embodies the spirit of solidarity and social synergy and the need to extend a helping hand to needy families, stressing the keenness of the association annually in consolidating these humanitarian initiatives and projects.

She explained that the association has distributed breakfasts since the first day, as it is working to dedicate the concept of social volunteering and contributing to charitable initiatives during the month of Ramadan, both inside and outside Kuwait. Maha Al-Barjas expressed her thanks to the private sector, banks, citizens, and residents who took the initiative to donate through the association, stressing the importance of continuing to give for the success of the Ramadan charitable assistance program. — KUNA
