KUWAIT: Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sane is seeking to end the practice of hiring expatriates on monthly payments, said official sources at the ministry, noting that 3,600 expats were currently hired by the ministry and that it was expected to terminate 1,500 of them.
The sources explained that there was too much controversy over hiring expats at the ministry, and accordingly, the minister formed a special committee to study the ministry's need for these expats in various sectors and work on tending to all remarks made by the Audit Bureau in this regard. - Al-Rai
